Beschrijving
Wonderful Volkswagen Golf 3 Cabriolet for sale. Out of 1997, it is one of the last few Golf 3 Cabrio ever made. It has a lovely full black leather interior, original BBS alloy wheels and it is the more powerful 66 kW 1.8 petrol engine. It has only 176.0xx, which is very low for a car with 27 years!
The car has been my hobby car and has been very well taken care of. Hood is in great condition. It also has a powerful working heater, great for the sunny but cold rides. It also has the original cover for the roof and the original wind deflector! It also had all electric windows and a tow hook, with working power connector.
A lot of upgrades and maintenance has been done on the car in the last year, and this has been well documented.
These are:
- Full timing chain replacement
- New alternator
- New oil and petrol filters
- New Bosch spark plugs
- Four new all season Vredestein tires
- Rust treatment to remove (small) amount of rust and prevent it from happening again. This is the major issue with these cars and this costly maintenance job is important to note!
- All new speakers, with new sound system from Pioneer
- New Pioneer radio, with Bluetooth and built-in smartphone holder
- New wooden gear shifter, from Nardi Torino
- Leather treatment to restore leather seats and steering wheel
- Some small other upgrades
All parts were always replaced by name parts, as Febi Bilstein and Bosch.
It is to note this is an oldtimer car (which has its benefits, such as very cheap insurance), so it’s not perfect! There are a couple of scratches and dings around the car. Furthermore, the most clear issue is a tear on the drivers seat, which is known to tear in these old leather interiors. Unfortunately I have not yet replaced this.
But of course these are all minor things! The car drives lovely, is mechanically sound, is light and when the sun is out is the perfect weekend car, fitting 4 people comfortably.
