Peugeot 404 Cabriolet Pininfarina

The Peugeot 404 Cabriolet was designed and built by "PininFarina". Although some 2.8 million in total were produced of the 404 type in all variants, only 10,389 examples of the Cabriolet were built at Pininfarina. This is one of the very last examples produced in 1968. The stylish design also counts as a true four-seater.

This Peugeot 404 is in beautifully restored condition. The car was completely dismantled during restoration. The bodywork was also completely disassembled and the car was made completely rust free, straightened and then painted in the original colour "Blue Ciel". This sky blue suits the Peugeot very well and gives the car a real sixties allure. Technically, the Peugeot has also been overhauled such as: overhauled engine, an overhauled brake system, overhauled fuel system, renewed cooling system, overhauled electrical system, new clutch etc. etc.

Optically, the car has also had the necessary attention to get the Peugeot in as original and as beautiful a condition as possible. The car has very nice chrome such as: new bumpers, new trims, new grille, new headlight rings, new "Marchal" headlights. Furthermore, the interior has been fitted with new leather and a new black mohair soft top. To finish it completely, the rims have been re-powder-coated black and 5 new Michelin 165R15 XZX tyres have been fitted.

Peugeot 404 Cabriolet – Pininfarina

De Peugeot 404 Cabriolet is ontworpen en gebouwd door "PininFarina". Hoewel er van het type 404 in totaal in alle varianten zo’n 2,8 miljoen zijn geproduceerd, werd de Cabriolet bij Pininfarina in slechts 10.389 exemplaren gebouwd. Dit is een van de allerlaatst in 1968 geproduceerde exemplaren. Het stijlvolle ontwerp geld tevens als echte vierzitter.

Deze Peugeot 404 is in een prachtige gerestaureerde staat. De auto is tijdens de restauratie geheel uit elkaar is geweest. Ook de carrosserie is volledig gedemonteerd geweest waarbij deze geheel roestvrij is gemaakt, strak gemaakt, en daarna gespoten in de originele kleur “Blue Ciel”. Dit hemelsblauw staat de Peugeot erg goed en geeft de auto een echte sixties allure. Ook technisch is de Peugeot gereviseerd zoals: gereviseerde motor, een gereviseerd remsysteem, gereviseerd brandstofsysteem, vernieuwd koelsysteem, gereviseerd elektrisch systeem, nieuwe koppeling etc. etc.

Optisch heeft de auto ook de nodige aandacht gehad om de Peugeot in een zo origineel en zo mooi mogelijke staat te krijgen. De auto heeft heel mooi chroom zoals: nieuwe bumpers, nieuwe sierlijsten, nieuwe grille, nieuwe koplampringen, nieuwe “Marchal” koplampen. Verder is het interieur voorzien van nieuw leer en is er een nieuwe zwarte mohair softtop gemonteerd. Om het geheel af te maken zijn de velgen opnieuw zwart gepoedercoat en zijn er 5 nieuwe Michelin 165R15 XZX banden gemonteerd.
