Wij bieden te koop aan deze prachtige en zeer zeldzame Morgan Plus 4 Super Sports uit 1961. Dit is geen standaard Morgan Plus 4, maar een originele low-line Super Sports die is uitgerust met de originele Lawrence Tune 2138cc 4-cilinder motor. De krachtige motor is uitgerust met de originele en zeldzame Weber DCOE 42 carburateurs. De krachtige motor in combinatie met het geringe gewicht van de Morgan zorgen voor een bijzonder goed weggedrag. De Morgan Plus 4 die we hier te koop aanbieden is afkomstig van een liefhebber die de klassieker maar liefst 30 jaar in zijn bezit heeft gehad en nog in overleg met Peter Morgan (destijds directeur Morgan LTD) heeft aangekocht als restauratieproject. Het restauratieproject heeft ruim 10 jaar in beslag genomen, maar het resultaat mag er zijn. Zowel optisch als technisch verkeert deze British classic in een zeer goede staat.

De echte kenners van Morgan zien dat dit allesbehalve een standaard Plus 4 Super Sports is. Deze klassieker is omgebouwd tot een low-line supersport met originele af-fabriek body en af-fabriek wings. Hij is uitgevoerd in de prachtige kleur British Racing Green en staat op een set gespoten 72-spaaks spaakwielen. Het interieur is ook aangepakt en uitgerust met Connolly lederen kuipstoelen, een houten dashboard met gerestaureerde tellers en het originele Brooklands stuurwiel. Wat deze Morgan Plus 4 helemaal bijzonder maakt is het feit dat hij wordt geleverd met een originele Lawrence Tune hard top.

Morgan Plus 4 Super Sports with Lawrence Tune engine
We offer for sale this beautiful and very rare Morgan Plus 4 Super Sports from 1961. This is not a standard Morgan Plus 4, but an original low-line Super Sports that is equipped with the original Lawrence Tune 2138cc 4-cylinder engine. The powerful engine is equipped with the original and rare Weber DCOE 42 carburettors. The powerful engine in combination with the low weight of the Morgan ensures exceptionally good handling. The Morgan Plus 4 that we offer for sale here comes from an enthusiast who has owned the classic for no less than 30 years and purchased it as a restoration project in consultation with Peter Morgan (then director of Morgan LTD). The restoration project took more than 10 years, but the results are impressive. This British classic is in very good condition, both optically and technically.

The real Morgan connoisseurs see that this is anything but a standard Plus 4 Super Sports. This classic has been converted into a low-line supersport with original factory body and factory wings. It is finished in the beautiful colour British Racing Green and sits on a set of painted 72-spoke wire wheels. The interior has also been updated and equipped with Connolly leather bucket seats, a wooden dashboard with restored gauges and the original Brooklands steering wheel. What makes this Morgan Plus 4 completely special is the fact that it comes with an original Lawrence Tune hard top.
