XK140 OTS - Original colour - excellent condition

“Collection by Vermant” is delighted to be able to present you this beautiful Jaguar XK140 OTS. This XK140 was delivered new in september of 1956 to Jaguar Cars of New York. It was finished in Cream over a Red interior, meaning the car is still in its correct colour specification. Not much is known about the early years of the car. In 1966 the car was sold to Mister Daugherty in Missouri. In the following years, the car became neglected and it was subsequently sold in 1991 through a classic car dealer to Jo Cortenraad from the Netherlands. He set about painstakingly restoring the car back to its former glory. Over a period of 6 years, the car was restored to a very high standard and not a single bolt was left untouched. Even almost 30 years later, the quality of the restoration is still very much visible when looking at the perfect condition of the car. Pictures and even a news paper report are available of the restoration. At the age of 71, mister Cortenraad sold the car to its first Belgian owner. In 2022 we sold the car to its second Belgian owner, who only used the car sparingly and he has tasked us to sell the car on his behalf.


When looking at the exterior of this XK140, we can find a beautiful Cream white exterior colour, as per original on this OTS. This was professionally repainted during the restoration of the car and is still in excellent condition throughout. When looking at the side of the car, we can find the distinctive and beautiful wire wheels finished with a chrome center lock nut. Going over to the rear we can see the dual exhaust tips to enhance the sporty look of the car. On the rear decklid we can also see the XK distinctive badge, indicating their Le Mans victories.


Going over to the interior of the car. We can find a beautiful red leather interior. The leather cannot only be found on the seats, but also on the dashboard and passenger compartment surround. This gives the interior a beautiful and luxurious feel. On the dashboard we can find the beautiful gauges that have been centered for a more driver focussed experience. Just below we can find a retrofitted and highly desirable Becker Mexico radio. On the OTS models both seats are foldable and give acces to the retractable roof. When the roof is on the car, this area gives direct acces to the luggage compartment and can be used as additional storage space on the car. The luggage compartment has also been beautifully finished and is spacious for a car this age. Below the luggage compartment we can find the spare wheel compartment that also houses the accessory tools of the car.
