La Jaguar Type E 4.2 série 1 a débuté sa production en août 1964. Notre exemplaire, numéro de châssis 1E30097, est sortie de Browns Lane le 30 septembre 1964, une des premières ! Livrée à son premier propriétaire le 16 novembre 1964 par l'importateur suisse Claparede à Geneve.

C’est Claparede qui permit en 1961 à Jaguar de créer l’incroyable effet de surprise de la présentation en première mondiale de la Type E Coupé au Salon de Genève.

The Jaguar Type E 4.2 Series 1 began its production in August 1964. Our example, chassis number 1E30097, rolled out of Browns Lane on September 30, 1964, one of the earliest! Delivered to its first owner on November 16, 1964, by the Swiss importer Claparede in Geneva.

It was Claparede who, in 1961, enabled Jaguar to create the incredible surprise of the world premiere presentation of the Type E Coupe at the Geneva Motor Show.
