Beschrijving
Carbon-fiber bodywork is finished in Agile Blue over Beluga Black leather and Alcantara upholstery, and power comes from a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 with four valves per cylinder that sends a factory-rated 1,500 horsepower to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a Haldex traction-control system. The car is equipped with a 3D-printed titanium exhaust system, carbon-ceramic brakes with titanium calipers, staggered-width magnesium wheels finished in black, a Sky View roof panel, a fixed rear wing, and carbon-fiber sport seats.
Construction comprises a carbon-fiber monocoque passenger cell and rear structure. This example’s carbon-fiber body panels are finished in Agile Blue. The horseshoe grille was increased in size for the Pur Sport and sits atop a carbon-fiber splitter that is wider compared to the standard Chiron. A carbon-fiber diffuser is fitted out back, and the rear light trim is finished in Gunpowder, while puddle lamps display Chiron Pur Sport logos. A Sky View glass roof panel was included as a $60k option.
The staggered-width 10-spoke magnesium wheels are finished in black with Bugatti center caps. The wheels feature 2.5° negative camber and are mounted with 285/30ZR20 front and 355/25ZR21 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. The Pur Sport’s active hydraulic dampers are lowered compared to the standard Chiron, and the springs are 65% stiffer up front and 33% out back. Stopping power is provided by eight-piston front and six-piston rear titanium calipers finished in black over 420mm front and 400mm rear carbon-ceramic rotors. Weight reduction techniques on the brake pads and rotors reportedly contributed to a seven-pound weight reduction at each corner on the Pur Sport.
The cockpit features carbon-fiber sport seats trimmed in Beluga Black leather with Alcantara inner bolsters. Matching leather extends to the dashboard, while the center console, headliner, rear bulkhead, and door panels are trimmed in Alcantara. Details include blue headrest embroidery, contrast stitching, headliner and door trim as well as black anodized aluminum and titanium accents. A lightbar extends from the windshield to the center armrest. Automatic climate control, navigation, a seven-speaker Accuton stereo, and satellite radio and Bluetooth connectivity were standard.
The Alcantara-wrapped multi-function steering wheel features a blue marker at 12 o’clock as well as matching contrast stitching. It fronts black anodized paddle shifters and a 300-mph analog speedometer with an inset digital speed readout flanked by two digital screens.
