Unique, this BMW R1100S Turbo Special!
Developed and built by 2003/2004 BMW Boxercup rider and mechanic Lex van Dijk. A costly project in which a lot of knowledge, time, parts and money were invested.
The block is equipped with a lower compression (9 BAR) and the turbo pressure can be set in the range of 0 to 0.7 BAR.
The turbo pressure and oil temperature can be read on the extra mounted meters on the triple clamp.
The triple clamp also has an adjustable SCOTS steering damper to keep the front wheel in the right direction during strong acceleration.
The intercooler is located horizontally above the Boxercup lower fairing under the engine block. In order to get the extra power safely on the road, the clutch has been replaced with a sintered and reinforced one and the final drive has been extended by 10% for a higher top speed. The same pawn wheel was mounted for this that was used in the BMW Boxercup racers on the long straight of the Daytona Speedway in America.
The brakes were replaced by floating Brembo brake discs, Goldline 4-pot Brembo brake calipers and blue stainless steel brake lines. Fully adjustable Wilbers shock absorbers were mounted at the front and rear. The wheels were also replaced to reduce the unsprung weight. Mounted are extra lightweight Marchesini wheels from the Honda NSR500 V2 GP racing motorcycle (Jurgen Vd Goorbergh) Custom-adapted for the front fork and cardan of the R1100S.
Various carbon parts, CNC reaction rod, special paintwork, a tinted windshield, custom saddle and many other details make this an extremely special specimen.
