Beschrijving
I'm selling my 1979 BMW R100RS, I've owned it for many years, firstly in Germany and now in the Netherlands.
This is a stunning true classic and an iconic piece of motorcycle history. Known for its distinctive full fairing, advanced engineering, and reliability, the R100RS was one of BMW’s premier models during the late 1970s. This particular bike is in excellent condition, boasting original components, low mileage, and a well-maintained history.
The paintwork is original showing only minor patina consistent with a 45-year-old motorcycle. The engine runs smoothly, with no leaks or unusual noises, and the bike starts up easily every time.
The full fairing, which is a signature feature of the R100RS, is in excellent shape, and the characteristic design offers not only aesthetic appeal but superior aerodynamics and wind protection. The seat and upholstery show minimal wear, and the frame is free from any rust or damage. All electrical components are functional.
The engine block has no oxidation or corrosion, it has always been stored inside.
I have the original brochure, Bordbuch, tool-pouch, first aid kit, front wheel lock and of course the original Krauser travel cases which are in perfect condition.
The following parts have been replaced at a proffesional workshop:
The bike was originally delivered to a BMW employee in Munich in January 1979, I purchased it and moved from Germany to the Netherlands, the bike is registered on Dutch numberplates but can easily be re-registerd in Germany if required.
This is a private sale from my own collection, the BMW can be viewed at my store "Sir James" in Roermond in the Netherlands, if you require more information then please do not hesitate to call me, I do speak German (ich spreche Deutsch, also wenn mehr Infos nötig sind kannst du mich gern anrufen).
Thanks,
Mike
